There are beautiful things in perfumery… and then there is blue lotus absolute.

A flower that cannot be distilled. If you boil it, it becomes silent. It only reveals its soul when extracted with the gentleness it deserves: organic solvents, without heat, without violence.

This absolute is made in Sri Lanka , where the flowers are still picked at dawn, one by one, and given to the perfumer as if they were promises.

When harvest time comes, the big names compete for every gram. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a small batch.

And what I have is sacred.

It opens with a sensation of almond cherry , like a fairground candy, candied almonds, apple in syrup.

Then, very slowly, the flower arrives. It's not a common floral. It's hypnotic , almost magical, with notes of blueberry, blue flower, and fresh water.

And then something changes.

It lifts you up. It calms you. It opens you up.

It's a dreamlike plant that relaxes just by smelling it. A drop on the neck and dreams seem to lengthen.

And if you look closely, deep down…

There's the swamp . The flower comes from there, and it remembers it. It has a green, aquatic aspect , a whisper of sacred mud, of a pool where the gods bathe.

In small doses it is aerial.

In large quantities, it thickens , becoming oriental , sweet, floral-cosmic. A gem that transforms any composition.

It has nothing to do with those diluted catalog absolutes. This is temple level .
