Gris Mood – Perfume Extract | Smoky Iris on Silk
Some perfumes are bathed in light. Others are born in gray.
Gris Mood is an exploration of the iris not as a flower, but as an idea.
It's not sweet powder, it's not retro makeup.
It is mist , tanned leather , cold marble under a rain of incense .
The opening is deceiving. Jasmine sambac explodes—animalic, green—with flashes of violet , a touch of honey that barely grazes, and a note of oolong tea that both disorients and calms.
Then the heart enters. And here the flower ceases to be a flower.
Rosa damascena, jasmine grandiflorum, magnolia, mimosa and osmanthus merge, intertwine, but do not shine on their own: they shine through the iris.
Iris butter is silk. Iris resinoid , on the other hand, is precious clay. Powdered cocoa. Gray leather. A natural fixative that holds and enhances every phase.
The structure becomes carnal with the arrival of Kashmir musk , vintage beaver dye and that final touch of civet , which does not dirty: it humanizes.
But it is the smoke that gives the perfume its soul.
Frankincense and myrrh , distilled in-house with devotion. They create the gray atmosphere, the aromatic mist that transforms this composition into an experience rather than just a perfume.
Gris Mood isn't about standing out. It's about disappearing in style.
To leave a trail of warm shadow, like wet leather under a dry flower.
For those who aren't afraid of smelling of mystery.
